Senior Network Engineer

Job Summary

We are seeking a Senior Network Engineer to lead the design, implementation, and management of our global network infrastructure. This role is responsible for ensuring high availability, security, and performance across multiple data centers and global locations. The ideal candidate has strong expertise in network architecture, automation, security, and cloud networking and will play a key role in modernizing and optimizing our network operations.

Key Responsibilities

Network Architecture & Implementation

• Design and implement resilient, scalable network architectures across global data centers.
• Ensure high availability, fault tolerance, and optimal performance of network infrastructure.
• Manage ISP multi-homing configurations with BGP and IP-based network underlays using Cisco technologies (IOS-XE, NX-OS, ASR routers, and Nexus 9000 switches).
• Deploy and maintain load balancing solutions (Radware, F5) for enhanced traffic distribution and availability.
• Design, implement, and manage SDN Datacenter environments using Cisco ACI and VMware NSX.
• Implement and manage network security solutions, including:
• Cisco ASA VPN, Cisco Secure Client (AnyConnect), Checkpoint Firewalls, and FortiGate SD-WAN.
• Define ingress rules, network policies, and security best practices for Kubernetes-based environments.
• Ensure compliance with cybersecurity standards and best practices for network infrastructure.
• Automate network deployment, monitoring, and configuration management using Python, Ansible, and Terraform.
• Develop CI/CD pipelines for network automation and infrastructure-as-code (IaC) management.
• Leverage API-driven automation using REST API, RESTCONF, and NETCONF for seamless integration.
• Support hybrid and multi-cloud network architectures with AWS, Azure, and on-premise data centers.
• Work with container networking technologies and optimize application delivery within Kubernetes environments.
• Implement telemetry, monitoring, and observability tools to improve network visibility and proactive troubleshooting.

Required Skills & Experience

• Proven track record in designing and managing high-availability network solutions for global enterprises.
• Expertise in BGP routing, OSPF, and IP network design with Cisco Nexus and ASR platforms.
• Strong experience with load balancers (Radware, F5) and firewalls (Cisco ASA, Checkpoint, FortiGate).
• Proficiency in network automation using Python, Ansible, Terraform, and Git (GitLab/GitHub).
• Hands-on experience with API-based automation and scripting for network configurations.
• Kubernetes networking expertise, including ingress configuration and microservices communication.
• Deep understanding of SDN technologies, particularly Cisco ACI and VMware NSX.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills to diagnose and resolve complex networking issues.

Qualifications & Certifications

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Networks, Telecommunications, or related fields.
• CCIE Certification (or equivalent) required.
• Several years of hands-on experience in network engineering, architecture, and automation.

Desirable Certifications

• Cisco: CCNP, CCIE, or Cisco Certified Specialist (Data Center, Security, or Service Provider).
• F5: F5 Certified BIG-IP Administrator (F5-CA), F5 Certified Solution Expert.
• Fortinet: NSE4, NSE5, NSE7, or higher.
• Checkpoint: CCSE, CCSM.
• VMware: VCP-DCV, VCAP-DCV.
• Cloud: AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Network Engineer.
• Cybersecurity: CISSP, CISE, or equivalent.

Preferred Skills (Nice to Have)

• Experience managing multi-cloud or hybrid-cloud network environments.
• Network telemetry and monitoring tools expertise.
• Familiarity with container networking and microservices.
