Senior Software Engineer (Java and Kotlin)

Currently, we are seeking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our team.

Project description: The project is a well known German fintech company that provides a standardized Open Banking API to enable multibanking and digital account management services (both Account Information Services (AIS) as well as Payment Initiation Services (PIS) that banks, savings banks and other financial service providers want to make available to their customers. The platform provides secure access to currently 58 million end customer accounts and is used by major international institutions and companies. The system offers, in addition to the simple account access of almost all German banks, numerous additional services via open banking such as: turnover categories, PFM services, the digital income check for faster credit decisions and more. In the course of the Data Intelligence (DI) project data analytic approaches are being pursued based on the processed account data of this API.

Responsibilities:

• Development and maintenance of internally developed systems;
• Handling the entire software development process from analysis, design, programming, testing to ongoing operation;
• Research and evaluation of new technologies and methods;
• Support for business analysts in the analysis of business requirements with a technical focus;
• Generate ideas and take an active role in the innovation process

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience working with Java, hands-on experience with Kotlin
• Strong experience with Spring Boot, Hibernate, MySQL/PostgreSQL, and Docker
• Solid understanding of REST services and tools like IntelliJ, JUnit
• Enthusiastic about writing quality code and achieving high test coverage
• A hands-on, solution-oriented mindset with a collaborative attitude
• Willingness to embrace and learn new technologies
• Intermediate+ level of English

Nice to have:

• Experience in the financial services sector, ideally with PSD2 (XS2A) or FinTS/HBCI
• Experience with Kubernetes, Git, Maven/Gradle, and CI/CD tools like Jenkins
• Familiarity with OpenAPI, Liquibase, and AWS Cloud Services
• Comfortable with collaboration tools like JIRA and Confluence
