Senior React Native Engineer

Join us to drive an exciting transformation in mobile engineering! As a Senior Mobile React Native Engineer, you will start as part of our centralized mobile team, building and maintaining two React Native apps for the European and U.S. markets. You will collaborate closely with domain experts across the organization to deliver high-quality, mobile-native solutions.

We are moving towards a distributed team model, where each product team will have a dedicated mobile developer responsible for building native views within their domain. This shift will reduce bottlenecks, enhance domain expertise, and accelerate mobile-first feature development.

Must-Have Skills & Technologies:

  • Experience: Minimum 6+ years as a Software Engineer, including 4+ years of hands-on experience with React Native.
  • Technical Stack: React Native, React Hooks, Redux, Nx (or similar tools), TypeScript.
  • App Lifecycle: Integration, testing, code signing, deployment via app stores, CI/CD pipelines (GitLab, Fastlane, Expo EAS).
  • API Knowledge: RESTful APIs, GraphQL, third-party SDKs integration.
  • Monitoring & Debugging: Datadog, Firebase Crashlytics.
  • Security Practices: OAuth, JWT, encryption, data privacy compliance.
  • Native Module Management: iOS/Android native modules for seamless React Native interaction.
  • Testing: Unit testing (Jest, Enzyme), familiarity with E2E testing (Detox, Maestro).
  • Design Systems: Experience with Storybook for consistent UI components.
  • Soft Skills: Strong analytical and communication skills in English.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain React Native apps.
  • Collaborate with domain experts to build high-quality mobile solutions.
  • Initially work in a centralized mobile team, developing a strong understanding of the mobile ecosystem.
  • Transition into domain-specific teams to work on product-specific mobile features.
  • Participate in a Mobile Guild to ensure knowledge sharing and best practices across teams.
  • Contribute to developing new tools, including GraphQL/BFF layers and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Ensure mobile security, performance monitoring, and debugging for production apps.

Nice-to-Have Skills:

  • End-to-End (E2E) Testing: Hands-on experience with Detox or Maestro.
  • Mobile Performance Optimization: Experience with performance profiling and optimization techniques.
  • Additional Mobile Security: Experience with biometric authentication, secure storage solutions.
  • DevOps & Automation: Experience improving CI/CD workflows beyond basic deployment.
  • Mobile Accessibility: Knowledge of accessibility best practices for mobile applications.
