Developer (Java & Backend Specialist)

Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Backend Developer with strong expertise in Core Java, Spring Boot, Hibernate, and REST APIs. As a Backend Developer, you will work closely with Solution Architects, Technical Leads, and Project Managers to ensure high-quality application development and delivery. The ideal candidate will have end-to-end experience in software development, integration, testing, and production support.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain applications within the assigned operational portfolio.
• Implement and maintain Java-based backend systems using Spring Boot and Hibernate ORM.
• Ensure adherence to architectural guidelines and design patterns.
• Identify technical challenges, propose solutions, and implement proactive fixes.
• Conduct code reviews to ensure high-quality software development standards.
• Perform unit and integration testing, resolving defects as per test plans.
• Work within Agile and DevOps methodologies, contributing to CI/CD pipelines.
• Stay up to date with technology trends and ensure continuous improvement.
• Monitor and optimize system performance to meet business expectations.
• Promote standardization and best practices across development teams.

Must-Have Skills & Experience

• 8+ years of IT experience with a strong background in Core Java.
• Hands-on experience with Java 8+, Spring Boot 2, Hibernate ORM, and REST APIs.
• End-to-end development experience, including backend development, integration, testing, and production support.
• Experience with Junit and working with relational databases (RDBMS).

Desirable Skills

• Experience with Splunk for monitoring and GraphDB (NoSQL).
• Prior experience with CISL or PDM.
• Knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript for front-end development.
• Experience in troubleshooting J2EE-based applications.
• Understanding of cloud infrastructure and application deployment.
