About The Team

The Deputy Project Manager is part of a Segment. This segment is responsible for assuring all activities relating to development and delivery of our solutions (systems, products and/or services) to our customers. In this segment product managers, customer project managers and product project managers cooperate with engineers, people from supply chain and colleagues from purchasing.

In this specific situation we are looking for an experienced deputy project manager (dPM) to deliver mission systems to our major customers. These mission systems exist of a complete Combat Management System and various search and fire control radars that fully integrate all functionality and control of the subsystems on board of a ship. For segment Mission Systems we are in search for a Deputy Project Manager.

About Your Future Job

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Deputy Project Manager to support the successful delivery of our project. You will assist the Project Manager in planning, coordinating, and overseeing all aspects of project execution, including coordination of equipment delivery and PMO activities. This role is ideal for someone with strong organizational skills, leadership abilities, and a passion for driving results.

Your main responsibilities are to:

  • Assist the Project Manager in planning, scheduling, and monitoring project activities.
  • Coordinate the delivery of equipment to ensure alignment with project schedules.
  • Monitor project budgets, timelines, and resource allocation.
  • Prepare progress reports and ensure consistent communication with stakeholders.
  • Identify risks and assist in developing mitigation strategies by organizing and owning R&O reviews.
  • Manage smaller workstreams or sub-projects independently, as required, starting from the Bid Phase until and including execution.
  • Maintain project documentation, including plans, schedules, and reports.
  • Foster collaboration and teamwork among cross-functional and multinational teams.

  • Are able to have an overview of complex situations and to manage multi-task environments
  • Have the ability to directly successfully manage project teams
  • Building and maintaining excellent internal stakeholder relationship across Thales, as well as with customers
  • A relevant experience, leading teams of technical professionals and fluent in English
  • IPMA certification is a plus
