- Job Title: Android SDK Reverse Engineer
- Hiring Company: LinkedIn
- Work Locations: Austin, TX, Bothell, WA, or The Bay Area (Hybrid/Onsite)
- Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct reverse engineering, security assessments, and code reviews of Android software
- Perform complex de-compilation, unpacking, and review of potentially malicious mobile software
- Develop static and dynamic signatures for mobile code, binaries, and executable code
- Detect a variety of threat types including malware, potentially unwanted programs and advanced persistent threats
- Improve the review process by identifying weaknesses in detection and automation
- Write complex reports for non-technical audiences
- Review peer reports and assist with investigations

- Required Skills:
- Ability to review applications and SDKs to detect malicious or inappropriate behavior
- Experience with static and dynamic analysis
- Familiarity with reverse engineering tools such as Jadx, Ghidra, Frida, IDA Pro, Burp
- Ability to perform binary and APK/SDK analysis
- Experience in code reviews for security policy violations, vulnerabilities, or improper coding practices
- Proficiency in Java, Kotlin, JavaScript, and other mobile software languages
- Excellent report writing skills for non-technical audiences
- Team player with strong collaboration skills.
