Business Intelligence Analyst

The Business Intelligence Analyst will collaborate to understand business needs and is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining Power BI reports and dashboards to support data analysis and decision-making across the organization. This role involves working closely with business users to understand their data analysis needs, translating requirements into actionable reports, and ensuring data integrity and governance. The ideal candidate has strong technical skills in Power BI development, data modeling, and SQL querying, along with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.


Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement visually appealing and user-friendly Power BI reports and dashboards to meet business user requirements and data analysis needs.
  • Identify and publish metrics based on the business needs that provide actionable insights and drive informed decision-making.
  • Manage and maintain data models, reports, and dashboards to ensure accuracy, consistency, and data governance.
  • Work with business users to define data requirements and translate them into effective data models and visualizations.
  • Design and develop SQL queries to extract and manipulate data from various data sources, ensuring data accuracy and completeness.
  • Collaborate with IT team to integrate Power BI reports into existing systems and workflows, ensuring seamless integration and compatibility.
  • Work closely with business users to gather feedback and iterate on reports and dashboards to meet evolving business needs.
  • Stay updated with the latest Power BI features, tools, and best practices, and proactively recommend enhancements and improvements to existing reports and dashboards.
  • Identify opportunities for automation, optimization, and standardization of reporting processes and data visualization techniques.


  • Required
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or Information Technology
  • 5+ years of experience working as a Power BI Developer or in a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge and experience in semantic data modeling, Power Query, and DAX
  • Proficiency in SQL and data analytics.
  • Strong understanding of Business Intelligence concepts and best practices.
  • Experience working with NetSuite
  • Exceptional data analysis, problem solving, and critical thinking skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Detail oriented and ability to execute.


  • Preference
  • Experience in the construction or a related industry.
