We are seeking an Associate to join the Cybersecurity, Privacy & Data Protection team of a leading international law firm in Brussels. The team advises clients on all aspects of cybersecurity and data protection law, including AI, and works closely with the firm’s corporate, labor, litigation, and life sciences teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Advising on EU and international data protection compliance.
- Handling data breach response and cybersecurity matters.
- Assisting with international data transfers and regulatory implications.
- Supporting M&A transactions on data protection aspects.
- Navigating recent EU digital regulations.
Candidate Profile
- Experience: At least 4 years in a law firm’s cybersecurity and data protection department.
- Qualifications: Admitted to practice EU law.
- Education: Master’s degree in law with strong academic credentials. An LL.M. in the UK or US is an advantage.
- Languages: Native Dutch or French, with excellent English. Spanish is a plus.
- Skills: Strong analytical and communication skills, solution-oriented, and team player.
