Senior Project Manager – Oracle eBusiness Suite Payroll Implementation

Job Description:

A large public sector organisation is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead the upgrade and implementation of a new Oracle eBusiness Suite Payroll System. This is a 6-12 month contract role based in Dublin. Hybrid work model.

Job Responsibilities:

• Manage the end-to-end implementation and upgrade of Oracle eBusiness Suite Payroll Systems.
• Collaborate with stakeholders across IT, HR, and finance to ensure smooth project execution.
• Develop and oversee project plans, timelines, and deliverables to align with organisational goals.
• Identify risks, dependencies, and mitigation strategies to ensure project success.
• Liaise with third-party vendors, technical teams, and business units to ensure seamless integration.
• Ensure compliance with relevant public sector standards, governance, and policies.
• Manage project budgets, reporting, and resource allocation effectively.
• Provide leadership to project teams, ensuring effective communication and coordination.

Experience Required:

• Minimum 10 years of experience in project management, with a strong track record in IT system implementations.
• Experience managing large-scale Oracle eBusiness Suite Payroll System projects or other large scale ERP Payroll Systems.
• Proven ability to manage projects in complex public sector environments.
• Strong background in stakeholder engagement and vendor management.
• Experience handling project governance, risk management, and reporting at a senior level.

Desirable Skills:

• Certification in Project Management (PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent).
• Understanding of public sector procurement and compliance frameworks.
• Experience working with cross-functional teams in IT, finance, and HR.

Educational Requirements:

• Third-level degree in IT, Business, or a related field.
