Software Engineer – Backend

Daily Tasks:

Develop, test, and maintain high-quality software solutions following best programming and architecture standards.

Lead and participate in code reviews to ensure high code quality and alignment with business needs.

Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve software issues by applying programming best practices.

Champion continuous improvement initiatives within the engineering team.

Implement and enforce security best practices through threat modelling and build pipelines to ensure secure software delivery.

Handle incident response efforts, coordinate with teams, and perform root cause analysis for complex issues.

Collaborate cross-functionally to enhance and improve operational processes.

Contribute technical expertise to business initiatives, helping shape organisational objectives.

Technical Skills:

Solid experience in Java 11+ and Spring Boot for backend development.

Proficiency in cloud platforms - Azure.

Strong understanding of databases, with preference for Cosmos DB.

Familiarity with React.js, with the ability to handle UI tasks independently when needed.

Hands-on experience with Bigquery for data processing.

Experience in setting up CI/CD pipelines using GitHub.

Proficiency in containerization technologies, such as Docker.
