Junior Front End Developer

Location: Fully remote

Duration: Approx 6+ months, full-time hours

Rate: $23-28/hr.

Position Overview

Our client is seeking a Junior- Intermediate level Front End Developer to join their team on a full-time contract for approx 6 months. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and updating visually appealing and user-friendly web applications using WordPress, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. You will work closely with designers and back-end developers to enhance the user experience and ensure seamless functionality across various platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain responsive web applications using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Customize and optimize WordPress themes and plugins to meet client needs.
• Assist with migrating from WordPress to an enterprise CMS.
• Ensure cross-browser compatibility and fix bugs or issues as they arise.
• Conduct website performance testing and optimization to improve load times.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to team knowledge sharing.
• Work alongside the Publishing team to QA pages, emails, etc., before going live.
• Stay updated with the latest web development trends and technologies.
  
  

Qualifications

• 2+ years of proven experience as a Front End Developer or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of WordPress, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Familiarity with PHP and C# is a plus.
• Experience with Enterprise CMS solutions is desirable.
• An understanding of quality assurance (QA) processes and publishing workflows.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
