Position Overview

As a Junior Data Analyst, you will play a crucial role in analyzing credit bureau data, identifying trends, and presenting actionable insights to various business teams. In this role, you will leverage your SQL, Excel, and Python skills to support decision-making processes and help optimize our product offerings. The ideal candidate is a self-starter, enjoys collaborating with cross-functional teams, and is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

1. Data Extraction & Analysis

• Utilize SQL to query, extract, and manipulate data from large databases containing credit information.
• Use Excel and Python for data cleaning, transformation, and exploratory analysis.
• Conduct thorough data validation to ensure accuracy and integrity of findings.

1. Reporting & Visualization

• Create regular and ad-hoc reports to track business and product performance.
• Develop dashboards or visualizations using tools like Excel, or BI platforms to communicate insights clearly and effectively.
• Present data insights to non-technical stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.

1. Insight Generation

• Explore large datasets to uncover hidden patterns and trends.
• Collaborate with business teams to propose data-driven recommendations.
• Validate hypotheses by analyzing key metrics and conducting experiments.

1. Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Partner with product, operations, and marketing teams to understand data needs, clarify requirements, and deliver relevant insights.
• Communicate complex analytical findings in a clear way to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders by providing timely and actionable analysis.

1. Continuous Improvement

• Stay current with the latest data analytics trends and best practices.
• Identify opportunities to automate reports and processes, improving efficiency and data accuracy.
• Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability in handling evolving business requirements and priorities.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Economics, Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience – 0 to 1 Year
• Technical Skills:
• SQL: Ability to write complex queries, optimize query performance, and handle large datasets.
• Excel: Proficiency in advanced functions, pivot tables, and data visualization.
• Python: Familiarity with data manipulation libraries (Pandas, NumPy) and basic data visualization techniques.
• Data Visualization Tools
• Data Interpretation: Solid foundation in exploratory data analysis and ability to translate raw data into meaningful insights.
• Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to collaborate effectively with business teams.
• Adaptability: Willingness to learn new tools and methodologies; comfortable working in a dynamic environment with changing priorities.
