We use the latest tech stacks and tools including Next.JS, Go, Kotlin, Expo.JS, Tailwind and component libraries to build and iterate quickly.

Role Description

This is and always will be a remote role for a Software Engineer at Build Things Labs. As a Software Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing software applications. You will collaborate with a small team to understand project & feature requirements and deliver high-quality code.

We are happy to consider part-time, full-time or contract rates for those that want to live the part time instagram developer life, we just expect the work you commit to be high quality and on time.

We do not hire people as developers, ai is our pairing developer. The best part and the future of building software is coming up with the solution ourselves. Some times all you will get is a feature name or brief description, the rest is up to you and your AI partner to build the best solution possible.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years worth of real world experience as a Software Engineer
• Proficiency in Typescript, Node, Tailwind & React.JS
• Experience with software development best practices and testing
• Knowledge of SQL databases and web development technologies
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities
• Understand the importance of efficient AI prompting

Nice To Have

• AWS/Dev-ops experience
• Gamification & Gamifying applications
• ReactNative & Expo.JS

• Salary for a full-time employee can start from $85,000 - $120,000 plus super and project bonuses based on experience
