Position: Node.js Architect

Experience Required: 11 - 15 Years

Location: Amsterdam, Netherlands - Onsite/Offshore work model available

Essential Qualifications

  • Minimum 9+ years of relevant experience with the skills listed below.
  • At least 4+ years in an Architect role.
  • Proficient in creating and managing scalable web applications with Node.js and related frameworks (such as Express.js and NestJS).
  • Solid background in designing, developing, and deploying server-side applications using Node.js and TypeScript.
  • Expertise in designing, implementing, and optimizing RESTful APIs and web services catering to high-traffic environments.
  • Experience with database solutions (PostgreSQL, MySQL) for data storage design and management.
  • Familiarity with OAuth, JWT authentication, and industry security standards.
  • Strong knowledge of microservices architecture and container orchestration technologies like Kubernetes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain scalable web applications using Node.js and frameworks (like Express.js and NestJS).
  • Design, develop, and deploy server-side applications utilizing Node.js and TypeScript.
  • Optimize and implement RESTful APIs and web services for applications with high traffic.
  • Design and manage data storage solutions using databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL).
  • Implement OAuth, JWT authentication, adhering to best security practices.
  • Work with microservices architecture and employ container orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
  • Experience with containerization tools such as Docker would be beneficial.
  • Understand CI/CD pipelines and deployment strategies.
  • Exhibit strong analytical skills to resolve problems effectively and develop solutions.
  • Demonstrate excellent teamwork and communication within a development group.
  • Collaborate with front-end developers to integrate user-facing components with server-side operations.
  • Ensure the application is stable, secure, and responsive under heavy load.
  • Identify issues, debug and improve code for better performance and productivity.
  • Write modular, testable, and efficient code to maintain application stability and scalability.
  • Adhere to version control best practices (Git) and work in an agile team setting.
  • Keep abreast of the latest trends and technologies in the industry to enhance the applications.
