About The Job

More than 2,200 cyberattacks occur each day, that means someone becomes a victim of a data breach, phishing attack, or other cybercrime every 39 seconds. SEB sit at the crossroads of finance and technology, making us prime targets in the security threat landscape. Group Security and Cyber Defence (GSCD) is responsible for SEB’s Cyber Security Strategy and take a strategic and holistic approach for the needs today and in the future, ensuring SEB is a trusted and reliable financial institution.

GSCD consists of three units: Security Governance, Security Architecture and Threat Intelligence and Cyber Defence. We work at various levels with the aim to increase the bank’s resilience against all threats. Our customers security and the regulatory requirements within the area of security is one of our main priorities.

Group Security & Cyber Defence is a group of highly skilled professionals managing and improving SEB security governance, security resilience and promoting security awareness & culture. GS&CD main objective is to enable secure and resilient business operations by defining and overseeing the implementation, adoption and effectiveness of security controls and guidelines.

During the internship you will be a part of the Security Governance team and work with security professionals managing. You will be guided by experienced and well connected colleagues. The full team will be available during different parts of the summer.

Throughout the 10 weeks internship, you will spend the majority of your time in your home department and work in the specific role you have been recruited for. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to visit various parts of our tech organization, network, and gain valuable experiences for your future career.

We see an increased complexity in the regulatory landscape impacting security where authorities and customers will require assurance from SEB and our third parties on protection of their assets.

The assignment is:

• Identify and develop automation in our way of working using emerging technologies when providing assurance.
• Collect, consolidate, and organize all due diligence and third-party relevant questions received and answered in past years into a comprehensive, searchable database.
• Develop AI/automation functionality to enhance usability and efficiency.
• Deliver a comprehensive database of due diligence questions and answers, integrated AI functionality for efficient search and usability.
• Provide an interface for training the database and feeding new data, documentation and user guide

Furthermore, you need to have completed at least two years of studies on an undergraduate level within IT or information security at the time of the internship and have strong communication skills in English, both spoken and written. Meritorious for this position is working experience in the Cyber or information security field and/or knowledge of CIS 18, ISO 27001 or NIST 800-53 or equivalent as well as data management and programming skills and knowledgeable in Microsoft Office.
