DevOps Engineer

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Devops Engineer (GCP) to join our team for scalability while ensuring the seamless functioning of our production environments. This is an opportunity to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and make a significant impact.

Mandatory Skill-set

• Has 2+ years of experience in cloud computing, specifically with GCP;
• Proven experience in cloud infrastructure design, cloud migStrong understanding of GCP services like Compute Engine, App Engine, Kubernetes Engine, Cloud Functions, Cloud Storage, BigQuery, etc;
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or C++ for application development and scripting;
• Familiarity with DevOps tools and practices, including CI/CD pipelines and container orchestration tools (e.g., Kubernetes).ration, and application development on Google Cloud PlatfStrong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify issues and provide effective solutions;
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve cloud infrastructure and application performance issues;
• Experience working within Agile development teams and using version control systems like Git for collaboration;
• Knowledge of Agile methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban;
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with both technical and non-technical teams;
• Ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders;
• Detail-oriented, with excellent time management and organizational skills.

Desired Skill-set

• Google Cloud Certified – Professional Cloud Developer or Cloud Architect;
• Experience working with containerized applications and Kubernetes;
• Knowledge of cloud security best practices and implementation, including IAM, encryption, and networking security;
• Understanding of compliance frameworks (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, PCI-DSS) and the ability to implement these within the cloud environment.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable, secure, and efficient cloud systems on Google Cloud Platform (GCP);
• Manage and optimize cloud infrastructure to meet the needs of the business while ensuring high performance, reliability, and availability;
• Develop and deploy cloud-native applications using GCP services such as Compute Engine, App Engine, Kubernetes Engine, Cloud Functions, and Cloud Storage;
• that applications are designed with scalability, resilience, and cost-effectiveness in mind;
• Plan and execute the migration of on-premises systems to GCP, ensuring minimal downtime and a seamless transition;
• Optimize resources during the migration process to achieve efficiency and cost savings;
• Implement security measures, including Identity and Access Management (IAM), firewalls, and encryption protocols to ensure data protection;
• Ensure that GCP deployments comply with internal policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA);
• Work closely with product teams, business units, and other stakeholders to gather requirements and provide cloud-based technical solutions;
• Collaborate on the design and development of new cloud-based applications or services to meet business objectives;
• Continuously monitor cloud infrastructure and applications using tools like GCP Cloud Monitoring, Stackdriver, and Cloud Logging to ensure optimal performance;
• Identify areas for improvement in terms of resource utilization, cost management, and system reliability;
• Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in GCP services, tools, and best practices;
• Drive continuous improvement in cloud architectures, application performance, and cloud deployment methodologies.
