We are seeking a skilled back-end developer to join our IBM Software team. As part of our team, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining high-quality software products, working with a variety of technologies and programming languages.

Your Role And Responsibilities

We're seeking a Front-End Developer to join the IBM Cloud Content Experience Squad to help build and improve tools and microservices used to deliver our documentation.

In this role, you will be responsible for the development and operations for the IBM Cloud documentation site (http://cloud.ibm.com/docs) and the IBM Cloud API reference site (https://cloud.ibm.com/apidocs). IBM Cloud iterates rapidly and delivers new features and new services continuously. You will make sure the documentation teams have the right publishing tools to deliver high quality documentation in a highly iterative fashion.

A qualified candidate will work with a team of developers, devOps, and contentOps.

Master's Degree

Required Technical And Professional Expertise

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
• 1+ years of full-stack software development experience
• Experience with JavaScript, HTML5, CSS/SASS, and modern web technologies
• Understanding of software engineering practices, OOD, design patterns, data structures and algorithms
• Ability to troubleshoot and identify the root cause of issues.
  
  

Preferred Technical And Professional Experience

• Experience with jQuery, Node.js, JavaScript build tools, and modern JavaScript frameworks such as React, Redux, Ractive, Ember, or Angular, along with the knowledge of when to use them
• Experience working with XML and XSLTs
• Experience in IBM Cloud services
• Degree preferably in computer science or a similar technical discipline
• Passion for building efficient, scalable web interfaces
• Genuinely excited about technology, have a strong interest in learning about and playing with the latest technologies and building compelling web applications and UI
• You should be a self-starter and motivated
