Equity Research Associate – Healthcare - Sydney based

Our client is a highly regarded Capital Markets firm and is interested to hear from equities research associate analysts with 1-2 years experience within equities research. The successful candidate will work in the Healthcare sector team which provides comprehensive company coverage focusing on the assessment of risk, fundamentals for key ASX listed Healthcare companies and articulation of investment views. You will conduct company analysis, financial modelling and valuation, build and maintain models and information sources, and help to assess relevant industry trends alongside the Head of Healthcare Research. We encourage those applicants with a strong background in financial accounting, valuation and modelling and experience gained within another equities research sector to apply.
Candidates who have a combination of the following skillsets are encouraged to apply;
- Bachelor’s degree or above in Business (Commerce/Accounting/Finance)
- 1-2 years’ experience within equities research essential
- Excellent understanding of how to read company financials, financial valuation (DCF).
- Keen interest in the listed healthcare sector, noting we encourage associates who currently sit within other sectors to apply
- Accounting qualifications such as CA or CFA seen as desirable
- Proactive, enjoys working in high-performance environment
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, relationship and time management skills
