Queensland Parliamentary Services is seeking a skilled Project Coordinator with IT Operations experience who is ready to jump in and assist with the coordination and delivery of multiple IT projects!

The Queensland Parliamentary Service has embarked on a major program of work related to digital transformation and modernisation.

The Project Coordinator is responsible for the coordination and delivery of multiple IT projects, including but not limited to projects delivering software development, COTS implementations, end-user device renewal and core infrastructure.

About You

  • You are a self-starter, highly organised, customer centric and thrive with autonomy.
  • You have demonstrated capability operating within an enterprise IT environment, delivering to deadlines in a complex and fast paced environment, often in partnership with team members, stakeholders, or customers with competing priorities.
  • You have a track record of coordinating or leading projects and successfully delivering improvements to business systems, processes, and technology infrastructure with experience in resource planning and management, financial management, risk management and reporting.
  • You have sound knowledge of project management, agile and continuous improvement mythologies.
  • You enjoy and are skilled in stakeholder engagement and organisational change, building productive working relationships, and working collaboratively to develop solutions and deliver projects that create business value.


IT Operations experience in an engineering or senior support role will be highly regarded.

About The Role

In this role, you will work closely with project teams, senior leadership, and stakeholders to ensure the successful execution of projects and programs.

You will play a key role in ensuring projects are planned and delivered on-time, on-budget and to a high quality standard.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and lead various IT projects within the program.
  • Project delivery including practices such as risk management, monitoring progress, reporting, solution development, resource planning, quality assurance, and benefits management.
  • Ensure project deadlines, cost, quality, and service standards are met.
  • Provide guidance on IT Project Management, IT Service Management, and Organisational Change Management.
  • Manage program and project communications and content creation.
