Job Description


As an Operations & DevOps Engineer at Sleeve in Vienna, you will play a crucial role in building and optimizing the backbone of our cutting-edge platform. Your mission will be to enhance our Linux-based infrastructure, streamline containerization workflows, and support our distributed development environment. Working closely with our customers, development, and product teams, you’ll be at the forefront of ensuring the seamless deployment and operation of our software across a wide range of embedded systems and automotive platforms.


Your Tasks


  • Infrastructure Management: Deploy, configure, and maintain scalable Linux-based systems, ensuring maximum reliability and performance.
  • Containerization: Implement and manage containerized applications using the latest container orchestration platforms.
  • Automation & CI/CD: Design and implement CI/CD pipelines to automate the build, test, and deployment of software for embedded systems and cloud environments.
  • Monitoring & Troubleshooting: Monitor system performance, identify bottlenecks, and troubleshoot issues across a variety of embedded and cloud platforms.
  • Security: Ensure that systems are secure, up-to-date, and compliant with industry standards and best practices.
  • Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams to deliver efficient solutions that meet business and technical requirements.
  • Embedded Systems Support: Prepare and work with embedded systems and hardware.


Your Profile


Experience

  • 3+ years of experience in a DevOps or Operations role with a strong focus on Linux systems and administration.
  • Proven expertise in containerization technologies.
  • Hands-on experience with embedded systems in automotive or related industries is a plus.


Technical Skills

  • Strong knowledge of Linux systems, including networking, and security.
  • Proficiency in shell scripting and tooling used in system administration and automation.
  • Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., GitLab CI) and infrastructure as code (IaC) tools (e.g., Ansible, Terraform).
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) is a plus.
  • Understanding of network protocols and troubleshooting tools.
  • Familiar with operation and disaster recovery protocols.


Problem-Solving

  • Ability to troubleshoot complex issues in both containerized and embedded environments.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on delivering practical solutions.


Soft Skills

  • Strong communication skills to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently or as part of a team.

Please note:

  • We are open to discuss part-time proposals as well.
  • This position is subject to the Collective Agreement for Employees in the Metal Trade (“Kollektivvertrag für Angestellte Metallgewerbe”) and we offer a minimum salary of € 56.000,- gross per year. Actual compensation can be well above this standard, based on your qualification and experience (up to 30%).
