👉 Project Description
We are seeking a Data Product Owner for one of our preferred clients in the retail industry. You'll define the vision, strategy, and roadmap for domain-specific data products while ensuring they meet internal and external stakeholder needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Define the vision, roadmap, and value proposition for data products.
- Align data strategy with business objectives, delivering actionable insights and value.
- Prioritize product development based on stakeholder needs and impact.
- Act as the primary point of contact for stakeholders (e.g., marketing, finance, supply chain).
- Translate business requirements into data product features and user stories.
- Ensure data products adhere to data mesh principles (domain ownership, decentralized governance).
- Partner with engineers to design scalable, high-quality data products.
- Monitor KPIs to measure product success and quality.
- Ensure data compliance with governance, privacy, and security standards.
- Continuously gather feedback and improve data product usability.
👉 Your strengths:
- Bachelor’s/Master’s in Data Science, Business Analytics, Computer Science, or related field
- Fluency in English, French, and Dutch preferably
- Proven experience as a Product Owner, Product Manager, or Data Manager in a data mesh environment
- Strong understanding of data management concepts (governance, quality, metadata)
- Experience with modern data tools (e.g., Snowflake, AWS, Databricks, BI tools, SQL)
- Knowledge of Agile methodologies and tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence)
- Customer-centric mindset
- Strong collaboration and leadership skills
