Youth LAB – Junior Innovation Lead | SEB, Tartu

Youth LAB is a paid international internship programme in SEB Bank. You will dedicate five weeks of time working on real and meaningful business projects. Another one week of time you will be innovating for sustainable future and learn design thinking methods. You will get a personal mentor who will support you throughout the internship.

In the Strategy and Innovation team, we conduct research on markets, trends, and technologies within the scope of financial products and services. Our aim is to identify how financial products and services will look like in 5-7 for future proofing our offerings and shape the future. We also try to innovate existing products and services, so they better serve our customers’ needs. In addition, we further explore the insights we gain from our research into prototypes.

Your responsibilities will include: To assist as a junior innovation lead with research projects and participate in explorations.

• Assist in developing products by eliciting requirements, understand the needs, design conceptual solutions, and mostly working on developing a prototype of a product.
• Collaborate with different stakeholders to understand the needs and how to best design and develop a solution.

• Are a student in higher educational institution
• Have experience with desktop research using qualitative and quantitative data collection and analysis
• Are systematic, curious, and open to iteratively explore a topic with an open mindset
• Have excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Are fluent in English
• Outgoing & positive team player with can-do attitude and are able to manage your time & prioritize
• Python Proficiency: Competence in Python with some experience in scripting and basic automation
• Database Management: Practical knowledge of SQL and an understanding of database operations
• API Integration: Familiarity with RESTful APIs, including making requests and handling responses
• Cloud & VMs: Basic experience with virtual machines and/or cloud-based environments; familiarity with managing or navigating Linux systems
