• Unifying operational tools platforms into a single system.

• Lowering barriers for developers less familiar with the web ecosystem.
• Ensuring availability of a reliable and scalable platform.
• Collaborating closely with client teams from both Wolt and DoorDash to align and deliver solutions effectively.
• Evaluating and exploring the potential consolidation of developer tools currently hosted in separate platforms into a unified platform.

Our humble expectations

We’re seeking a Software Engineer passionate about building a best-in-class platform, creating reusable libraries, and developing sensible abstractions. Given the nature of the role, we expect you to be deeply familiar with the web ecosystem, and we'd love to see a background in frontend engineering. That said, this role extends beyond traditional frontend development. We want engineers who are committed to driving results, such as improving developer productivity and scaling the organization, while empowering teams to succeed.

What You’ll Do

• Develop and maintain a unified internal tooling platform using modern web development practices.
• Build reusable React components and libraries to streamline tool development.
• Lower barriers for developers of all experience levels by simplifying contribution workflows and improving platform documentation.
• Optimize platform performance, reliability, and availability at scale.
• Collaborate closely with design systems, infrastructure teams, and developers across DoorDash and Wolt.
  
  

What We’re Looking For

• Willingness to work within platform engineering, focusing on building tools, frameworks, and infrastructure to support other developers. If your primary interest is product or feature development, this role may not be the right fit.
• Familiarity with web tooling, monorepos, and developer platforms.
• Experience with Node.js, particularly in building and maintaining tooling, automation, or developer-focused applications. Backend experience is a plus but not a primary focus.
• Strong understanding of developer experience, clean code, and best practices.
• Solid experience in front-end development, particularly with React, TypeScript, and scalable library development.
• Exposure to DevOps.
• A passion for enabling others to build tools faster, easier, and with fewer barriers.
• Ability to thrive in a collaborative environment and drive solutions with stakeholders.

📍This role can be based in one of our tech hubs in Helsinki, Berlin or Stockholm. Read more about our remote setup here. If you live outside of these countries - not to worry! We provide relocation support to help you make your way to Finland, Germany or Sweden.
