Senior Software Engineer Team Lead

Barden is delighted to partner with a leading financial services company in their search for a Fullstack Team Lead to join their team. Reporting to the Head of Data Analytics, this role offers the chance to shape innovative, data-driven tools.

We are looking for someone who remains deeply engaged in the technical aspects of their current role while also embracing the added responsibilities of a tech or team lead. This includes overseeing projects, guiding their team, and mentoring junior members to help foster their growth.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

• Lead a team of developers, providing mentorship and technical guidance.
• Oversee project timelines, task assignments, and deliverable quality.
• Develop and maintain scalable applications and dashboards.
• Build intuitive user interfaces with React, TypeScript, Tailwind CSS, and Chakra UI.
• Manage backend systems using Python, Django, and Celery.
• Optimise databases (Azure SQL, PostgreSQL) for efficiency and scalability.
• Manage cloud infrastructure using Microsoft Azure services.
• Collaborate with various teams to translate business needs into technical solutions.
• Drive data-driven insights through advanced visualisation and reporting tools.

ABOUT THE PERSON:

• 2+ years leading teams or managing developers.
• 5+ years in full-stack development.
• Proven track record of mentoring and overseeing project delivery.
• Must have experience with Python & Django, JavaScript (React/Angular) and Microsoft Azure.

Our client has offices in Cork, Dublin, Galway, and Limerick, and this role offers the flexibility to be based in any of these locations. It’s a hybrid position, initially requiring 3-4 days in the office, with the option to reduce this as you settle in.
