As a UX Designer Intern, you will have the opportunity to work alongside a talented design team and help shape the future of our design system. Your creativity and innovation will drive our digital transformation by turning complex UI challenges into elegant solutions.

As a participant in our program, you will gain valuable experience and contribute through meaningful project work. You will have the opportunity to join us for training, networking events, and engagements with company leadership. Our internships are open to students and graduates.

As a UX Designer Intern, you will be responsible for-

• Collaborating with seasoned UX professionals to craft intuitive and visually appealing user interfaces
• Assisting in creating and maintaining UI components, patterns, and guidelines for the design system, ensuring accessibility and usability
• Designing mockups, prototypes, and documentation for the design system and products
• Working with cross-functional teams, including designer, developers, and product management
• Participating in usability testing and gathering feedback on the design system and products, validating and iterating your designs
• Exploring UI and design system trends, bringing new tools and ideas to enhance the existing system and products.
  
  

Do What You Love

To be successful in this role you will-

• Be pursuing or recently completed a program in UX design, HCI, Graphic Design, or a related field.
• Demonstrate verbal and written communication skills in English (B1+) to articulate design concepts and collaborate effectively
• Have knowledge of UX design principles and tools (e.g., Figma, Adobe, Miro, Google Docs
• Have good visual design skills (typography, colors, composition and visual layouts) and an eye for detail
• Have understanding of front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript)
• Show portfolio demonstrating your ability in solving design challenges
• Have familiarity with user research techniques and usability testing
  
  

Work in a way that works for you

Our 6-month interm program starts in July. The program requires you to be available 40 hours per week during summer months (July-September). We offer the opportunity to work part-time during the academic year (October-December).

This is a flexible role and may be performed at your home and/or the local Akamai office (in the country advertised). We are happy to discuss working options in this role and encourage you to speak with your recruiter in more details when you apply.
