About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Azure Security Architect to design, implement, and maintain a secure cloud architecture within our Microsoft Azure environment. This role ensures compliance with data protection regulations and mitigates cyber threats by leveraging Azure security services. The ideal candidate will collaborate with development teams to integrate security best practices throughout the application lifecycle and actively monitor for potential vulnerabilities.

Key Responsibilities

Security Architecture Design

• Develop and implement comprehensive security architectures for Azure workloads.
• Design network segmentation, identity & access management (IAM), data encryption, and threat protection strategies.

Compliance Management

• Ensure adherence to security standards and regulatory requirements (e.g., HIPAA, GDPR, PCI DSS).
• Implement appropriate security controls to maintain compliance within Azure environments.

Threat Modeling and Risk Assessment

• Conduct risk assessments to identify potential security vulnerabilities.
• Design mitigation strategies to enhance security posture.

Azure Security Services Expertise

• Utilize Azure security tools such as Azure Active Directory (Azure AD), Azure Security Center, Azure Sentinel, Azure Key Vault, and Azure Firewall.

Implementation and Deployment

• Guide the implementation of security controls, including configuration management, access policies, and security monitoring.

Collaboration with Development Teams

• Work closely with developers to integrate security best practices into the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
• Promote secure coding techniques and provide best practice guidance.

Incident Response & Monitoring

• Investigate and respond to security incidents within the Azure environment.
• Analyze security logs to detect and mitigate threats.

Security Policy Development

• Define and maintain security policies and standards for Azure usage within the organization.

Security Awareness & Training

• Provide training and awareness programs to stakeholders on Azure security best practices.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Extensive experience in Azure security architecture and cloud security best practices.
• Strong expertise in Identity and Access Management (IAM), including role-based access control (RBAC) and multi-factor authentication (MFA).
• Proficiency in network security (firewalls, VPNs, network segmentation).
• Knowledge of data protection and encryption techniques.
• Familiarity with security monitoring and log analysis tools.
• Experience with regulatory compliance frameworks (HIPAA, GDPR, PCI DSS, ISO 27001).
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
• Relevant certifications such as:
• Microsoft Azure Security Engineer Associate
• Microsoft Certified Cybersecurity Architect Expert (preferred)
