Job Description: Data Scientist / Engineer

Location: Warsaw, Poland

Position Overview: We are seeking a talented and motivated Data Scientist / Engineer to join our team to focus on data preparation, analysis, and driving insights from complex data sets. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying AI/ML models, collaborating with cross-functional teams to collect, clean, and analyze data, and ensuring the ethical use of AI technologies. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in AI/ML, big data technologies, and data engineering principles with a passion for leveraging data to drive actionable insights.

Technical Knowledge & Expertise:

AI/ML Model Development & Deployment:

• Proficiency in Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Natural Language Processing (NLP), and Computer Vision.
• Strong experience with AI/ML tools and platforms such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, and scikit-learn.
• Expertise in developing and deploying AI/ML models in cloud environments.

AI/ML Infrastructure & Platforms:

• Experience with Cloud Computing platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) for model deployment and data management.
• Strong knowledge of Big Data Technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, and NoSQL databases.

Data Engineering & Data Preparation:

• In-depth understanding of data engineering principles and the ability to design scalable data pipelines.
• Experience with data collection, cleaning, and transformation methodologies, ensuring high-quality datasets for analysis and modeling.
• Expertise in data analytics for deriving insights and identifying trends from large and complex datasets.

AI/ML Governance & Responsible AI:

• Knowledge of model risk management, data privacy, security, and explainability best practices.
• Strong experience in applying ethical AI considerations, including identifying biases, ensuring fairness, and promoting transparency in models.

Programming Languages & Tools:

• Proficiency in Python, Java, C++, R, Apache Spark, SparkSQL, and Apache Flink.
• Experience with Pandas and other relevant programming languages and libraries for data manipulation and analysis.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field (Master’s degree is a plus).
• 3-5 years of hands-on experience in data science and data engineering roles.
• Strong understanding of big data technologies and AI/ML model development.
• Proven experience in applying data science methodologies such as feature engineering, data transformation, and statistical analysis.
• Familiarity with AI ethics and the ability to ensure responsible AI practices in model development.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Project management experience with a focus on delivering high-quality solutions on time and within budget.
• Problem-solving and critical thinking skills to address complex data challenges.
