Senior Backend Engineer (Sales & Services applications)

Location - Oslo (Norway) or Malaga region, Madrid (Spain). Hybrid work

Are you a seasoned backend developer ready to build robust, scalable solutions that drive sales and service excellence? Then we have an exciting opportunity for you! At Sector Alarm, we are now hiring a Senior Backend Developer for our Sales and Services applications.

This is a permanent, full-time position reporting to the Engineering Manager.

Job Responsibilities

• Strengthening and supporting the development team, building software that helps. to protect the lives and homes of our customers.
• Writing clean, scalable code using C# .NET Core.
• Writing code and develop according to the assigned tasks and specifications.
• Making regular modifications to existing software for error correction, adaptation to new hardware and to improve overall function and performance.
• Evaluating new code for reliable architecture, stability, reusability, performance, automation, security and metrics.
• Keeping up to date with the terminology, concepts and best practices for coding.
• Writing unit and integration tests to cover functionality and reduce regressions.
• Coordinating with other IT professionals, developers and architects.
  
  

What are we looking for?

The Ideal Candidate Must Have

• 5 years of experience as a Backend Developer.
• Excellent knowledge in development processes and DevOps best practices.
• C# and .NET Core knowledge.
• REST API knowledge.
• SQL, noSQL and EntityFramework experience.
• Automation and integration testing.
• Azure experience with WebAPI, containers and web applications.
• Fluency in English.
• Valid work permit in the EU.
  
  

Additionally, the following is nice to have (but not essential):

• Familiarity with Azure DevOps and Terraform.
• Previous IoT experience.
