REMOTE Junior Data Scientist

Job Description

A global manufacturing company is seeking a strong junior Data Scientist to join their enterprise digital transformation team! These individuals will be supporting multiple projects across the enterprise impacting multiple business units related to AI and Machine Learning. These individuals should have a strong background and passion for analytics, in-depth hands on experience with Python (SQL is a plus), should have experience with GIT, and should have exposure to Azure DevOps (or similar tools). Additionally, if the candidates have exposure to open AI, Langchain, or RAG that is a huge plus! The ideal individuals will also be motivated to learn, be analytical problem solvers, and should demonstrate they can work both independently and collaboratively with global teams. These are 6 month contracts with the possibility of extensions and candidates will ideally be in the Greater Philadelphia area so they have opportunity to go onto the client site.

Skills And Requirements

• 1+ years of experience in Data Science & related research
• BS and/or Masters Degrees in a related field (Comp Sci, Analytics, Data Science, etc.)
• Strong Python coding skills (most important) & strong experience with modeling, stats, distributions, etc.
• Experience working in a cloud environment (Azure DevOps preferred)
• Experience with Pandas
• Experience with GITLab or GITHub
• Strong analytical problem solving skills and a passion for digital solutions
• Strong communication skills - must be a self-starter and comfortable engaging with stakeholders - SQL coding experience null
