Job Title: IT Technician
Location: Cork, Ireland (100% on site, 5 days per week)
Type: Contract / Freelance
Pay: 200-235 EUR per day
Role Overview
We are seeking a skilled IT Technician to provide face-to-face and remote support for IT-related issues. Based in Cork, you will offer desktop support, troubleshoot software/hardware issues, and assist employees with their technology needs, including mobile devices. You will also help onboard new resources and manage IT asset tracking.
Key Responsibilities:
- Resolve IT issues for on-site and remote users, covering software, hardware, and mobile devices (iOS/Android).
- Support Windows 10/11, Mac OS, Google Workspace, and other systems.
- Provide end-user services, including VPN, remote connectivity, and audio-visual systems.
- Maintain IT equipment in asset management software, ensuring timely follow-up on incidents and tracking through ServiceNow.
- Collaborate with internal/external IT teams and vendors to resolve issues and improve systems.
- Create and maintain internal documentation, procedures, and training materials.
What We’re Looking For:
- 3+ years of IT/technical experience, with hands-on hardware troubleshooting skills.
- Proficiency in Windows 10/11, Mac OS, Google Workspace, and Linux (Ubuntu).
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
- Experience with ServiceNow or similar ITSM tools, plus ITIL v4 certification is a plus.
- A degree in Computer Science (preferred) or relevant certifications (ACMT, CompTIA A+, Google IT Support).
