Senior Java Engineer

Role: Senior Software Developer (Java)

Location: Aargau

Hybrid: 2 days onsite

We've partnered with a forward-thinking company operating in the e-commerce and business services space, comprising several trading and service entities. Their collaborative and experienced team is at the core of our success, allowing us to adapt quickly to new trends and respond flexibly to the needs of our customers.

They are looking for an experienced Software Developer to join our team and contribute to the continued success of one of Switzerland's leading e-commerce platforms. You will play a key role in developing and maintaining our internal business applications while driving innovation and efficiency in our systems.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and enhance internal business applications using Java and the Eclipse Scout framework.
• Work closely with stakeholders to analyze and solve complex business problems, improving processes and system functions.
• Create and maintain detailed documentation, including test cases and application guides.
• Define, implement, and maintain system interfaces and integrations with other platforms.
• Manage software development projects from initial estimates through to execution, ensuring quality and timely delivery.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to explore and implement new solutions that add value to our business processes.
  
  

Requirements:

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in object-oriented software development, with a strong focus on Java.
• Deep understanding and experience working with databases and data-driven applications.
• Proven track record of developing and maintaining business applications in a fast-paced environment.
• Passion for writing clean, maintainable code and following best practices in software development.
• Strong problem-solving skills, a proactive attitude, and a willingness to explore innovative solutions.
• Ability to manage projects and take ownership of tasks from conception through to completion.
• Excellent communication skills (fluent in German & English), with a collaborative mindset and the ability to work effectively within a team.
