Your role💼

As Information Security Officer your challenges will include:

• Access Control Monitoring: Ensure that access controls are consistently monitored and maintained to protect sensitive information and systems;
• Technical Communication: Engage in technical discussions with the IT Department or managed security service provider (MSSP);
• Network topology: Understanding and optimizing the network layout for security purposes.
• Manage vulnerabilities: Identifying and addressing security weaknesses;
• Implementation of security controls: Deploying measures to safeguard the company's digital assets;
• Analyzing and responding to potential and actual security threats;
• Organize and lead training sessions to educate employees about security software and best practices for information security;
• Conduct phishing campaign simulations to train employees in recognizing and responding to phishing attempts;
• Keep up to date with the latest developments in IT security standards and emerging threats to ensure the company’s security measures are current and effective;
• Work closely with management and the IT Department or MSSP to enhance the overall security posture of the company. This includes recommending and implementing improvements;
• Act as a second line of defense by investigating and documenting security incidents to understand their root causes and prevent recurrence.

Requirements 💡

• At least 2 years of experience in related field;
• Bachelor Degree’s
• Familiarity with industry best practices, standards, and frameworks, such as ISO 27001, NIST, and the MITRE ATT&CK Framework;
• Open-Mindedness: A flexible and open-minded approach to new ideas and strategies in cybersecurity;
• Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences;
• Problem-Solving Abilities: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify issues and develop effective solutions;
• Technical Expertise: In-depth technical knowledge in cybersecurity, including understanding of network security, threat analysis, and security controls;
• Educational Skills: Ability to effectively educate and train non-technical colleagues on security best practices and measures;
• Holistic Approach: A focus on both the human and technological aspects of cybersecurity, recognizing the importance of user behavior in maintaining security;
• Proficiency in English (other languages are a plus);
• This position requires working onsite in Luxembourg
