Our client, a leading international energy company investing in renewable electricity sources that is laying the foundation for environmentally friendly technologies of the future, is looking for a Quantitative Analyst to help them develop and upgrade their trading infrastructure.


Key Responsibilities:


  • trading of electricity, CO2 allowances, and other energy products
  • reviewing, monitoring and updating existing trading infrastructure and strategies
  • conducting research and preparing reports on market trends and opportunities
  • developing, updating, and testing automated trading strategies and models
  • collaborating with the IT department and preparing specifications for improving automated trading infrastructure
  • mentoring and knowledge sharing among colleagues


Requirements:


  • a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
  • experience in economics, mathematics, physics, computer science, or other technical disciplines
  • experience with developing trading strategies, models or similar solutions
  • strong analytical thinking skills and proficiency in statistical data processing
  • ability to monitor the market and identify opportunities
  • programming skills and familiarity with data analysis tools (Python, SQL, and/or similar programming languages)
  • an electricity trading license is an advantage
  • fluency in English
