Job description

The SMASH (machine learning for science and humanities) MSCA postdoctoral program aims to sponsor high-quality postdoctoral projects. This is the 4th call, the last.

This is a 2-year full-time employment contract funded by the SMASH EU postdoctoral program (https://smash.ung.si/) to pursue your research project.

The field of research is (deep) reinforcement learning (may also be combined with evolutionary computation). The salary is very competitive.

Qualifications

Completed PhD

Decent publication record

Experience with deep learning and reinforcement learning

Experience in conducting research and data analysis

Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Institution Description

Faculty of Computer and Information Science at University of Ljubljana is Slovenia’s leading educational and research institution for computer science. Its primary function is to educate undergraduate and graduate computer science experts and engage in research work. 

Laboratory for Adaptive Systems and Parallel Processing is involved in basic and applied research of machine learning and hardware implementations and acceleration of machine learning algorithms (on supercomputers, GPUs, and FPGAs).

• Detailed CV highlighting experience in reinforcement learning, including strong prior publications.
