Backend Engineer (NodeJS)

They are on the lookout for top talent to join their team. Currently, they are in search of Backend Software Engineers with a focus on Node.js for their Barcelona office, specifically for their partnership team.

The Role

As a Backend Software Engineer, you'll join with the mission to provide the best user experience to customers as part of the Product Area Attract, Acquire and Activate.

The purpose of the Product Area is to draw in new customers and convert them into subscribers. The partnership team, which you will join, is responsible for creating technical solutions for B2B partners to integrate with them.

You will become part of a cross-functional team, delivering engineering solutions that align with technical and product long-term visions. The team focuses on clear goals based on customer journeys and commercial targets, being fully self-reliant in crafting the best solutions to achieve those goals.

Daily tasks include:

• Building robust and high-performing microservices in Node.js
• Developing microservice/serverless architecture
• Employing multiple programming paradigms and languages
• Working in a dynamic production environment supported by Github Actions and AWS services such as Lambdas, AKS, DynamoDB, etc.
• Engaging in an agile development process that promotes pair/mob programming
• Enhancing product iterations based on consumer feedback and behavior data

What they're seeking:

They are in search of motivated developers with a passion for backend software development and an eagerness to continuously enhance their skills. You should have experience tackling complex problems using JavaScript, particularly with Node.js.

Ideal candidates meet these requirements:

• Solid experience in developing web-based services using Node.js
• Strong understanding of REST API
• Knowledge of test- or behavior-driven development (TDD/BDD) including supporting frameworks
• Experience in developing services in AWS
• An interest and drive to work with modern frameworks
• Experience in testing, TDD

Bonus points if you have:

• Experience working with a stateless and high-transactional end-user product
• Familiarity with PHP, Java, or Rust
