AI Engineer / Data Scientist

Aptitude Global is seeking a talented AI Engineer / Data Scientist to join our AI team. You will work on complex datasets from industries such as legal, pharma, financial services, or energy, applying advanced analytics, machine learning, and data science techniques to solve business-critical problems. This role involves building predictive models, using graph databases, and incorporating generative AI techniques to unlock insights and create value.

Who are my customers?

Our customers are across predominantly regulated industries including financial services, legal, pharma, and energy. 

What do I need to do? 

• Analyse large and complex datasets from the legal, pharma, financial services, or energy sectors to extract meaningful insights and solve business problems.
• Usage of GenAI frameworks to build production grade applications and services, such as: LangChain, LiteLLM, LlamaIndex, etc.
• Apply advanced analytics and machine learning techniques (regression, clustering, classification) and integrate them with graph data science approaches for deeper insights.
• Utilise graph databases (e.g., Neo4j) to model relationships and extract value from connected data.
• Explore and apply Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG) to enhance search, retrieval, and recommendation systems for industry-specific use cases.
• Apply and customise generative AI models for document summarization, contract analysis, and knowledge extraction.
• Clean, preprocess, and transform raw data for use in machine learning models and graph-based analytics.

What skills and experience do I need?

• Expertise in machine learning techniques (classification, regression, clustering) and experience working with graph data science tools for knowledge extraction and recommendation systems.
• Proficiency in Python and relevant data science libraries (Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-Learn), and graph analytics tools (e.g., Neo4j, GraphX).
• Experience with vector and graph databases and their use in semantic search, recommendation, and retrieval systems.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to translate data into actionable business insights.
• Familiarity with software engineering practices: version control (Git), CI/CD, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Experience with cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and SQL databases.
• Excellent communication skills to present technical findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.
