What Is the Role

If you are a passionate full-stack developer that loves to navigate the JavaScript universe we would like to hear from you. We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join the Application Experience team in order to make an immediate impact by integrating ES|QL everywhere in Kibana. Our goal is to make it easy and delightful for users to work with ES|QL.

What You Will Be Doing:

• As part of the ES|QL Project team you will enhance the ES|QL user experience across Kibana.
• Improve our Monaco-based ES|QL editor with many critical features like autocomplete, validation, and reusability of queries.
• Create a great developer experience for Kibana developers and query authors.
• Work on syncing between Elasticsearch and Kibana.
• You will be part of a great team of engineers who mentor, challenge and support each other.
• You will work closely with the Product, Operations, Design and Engineering teams to define and shape the tasks we work on.
  
  

What You Bring Along:

• At least 5 years of web application development experience.
• Knowledgeable with some combination of React, Typescript, CSS, Jest, NodeJS, Git, or willing to learn those that are missing.
• Good technical writing, presentation, and communications skills.
• Ability to contribute to a worldwide team in a distributed work environment.
• It's no requirement, but if you bring along experience with the Opensource ecosystem, Elasticsearch and/or AST parsing, let us know!
