Data Science Intern

The main responsibility of a data science Intern is to develop solutions and recommendations for using machine learning or deep learning models for various business problems combined with an in-depth understanding of business products, services, and processes. This is a summer internship opportunity which will run from May to August 2025.

Our paid internship program gives students practical work experience, learning and development workshops, social outings, and an opportunity to meet with executive team members. You will be an active participant in a designated project and be a member of a highly collaborate team.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in collecting, cleaning, and preprocessing data from various sources.
• Perform exploratory data analysis to uncover trends and patterns.
• Develop and implement machine learning models, including advanced models and large language models (LLMs), under the guidance of AI lead.
• Build and optimize advanced machine learning models to solve complex business problems.
• Create visualizations and reports to communicate findings to stakeholders.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into data-driven solutions.
• Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies in data science, machine learning, and LLMs.
  
  

Qualifications:

• Currently pursuing a degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.
• Strong programming skills in Python or R.
• Familiarity with data analysis libraries such as Pandas, NumPy, and Scikit-learn.
• Basic understanding of machine learning algorithms and techniques, including experience with LLMs.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
• Prior experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) is a plus
  
  

This is a paid summer internship that runs from May to August 2025. You will work 5 days/week between Monday to Friday in a hybrid environment with 2 days/week at our office in downtown Toronto.
