Rhazes AI is a fast-growing healthtech startup founded two years ago tackling the overwhelming administrative and cognitive burdens on doctors. Founded by NHS doctor Dr. Zaid Al-fagih and AI expert Peter Sarvari, we build cutting-edge AI tools that enhance doctor productivity, reduce burnout, and improve patient care. Our platform supports clinicians across their entire workflow - from diagnosis and management planning to automated documentation and billing - helping hospitals and doctors operate more efficiently. Following recent funding, we're expanding our team and looking for a driven individual to join our exciting journey.

About the Role:

As a Full Stack Engineer at Rhazes AI, you will play a crucial role in developing and scaling our AI-driven healthcare platform. You'll work closely with our Founding Principal Engineer to ship exciting new features and contribute to the overall architecture and performance of our applications. We offer significant flexibility in work arrangements for this role. While occasional travel to the Middle East is required, the position can be fully remote on a contract basis, or hybrid in the UK or Qatar. Visa sponsorship and accommodation are included for those choosing to work in Qatar.

Responsibilities:

•  Collaborate with the team to develop and deploy key features, including:
• Creation of LLM agents for doctors
• Development of a video calling platform with live transcription and notetaking
• Integration with EHR systems (patient and document fetching and pushing)
• Building discussion forums for doctors to share knowledge about AI in medicine
• Implementing LLM unit testing and self-evaluation mechanisms
•  Ensure compliance with cyber and data security regulations
•  Work with doctors on quality assurance processes
•  Opportunity to contribute to scientific research and support hospital pilot programs
•  Foster a positive and collaborative team environment
•  Collaborate closely with founders, clients, and investors

Requirements:

✅ Portfolio showcasing web apps built from scratch

✅ Experience with Next.js

✅ Proficiency in cloud platforms (Google Cloud, Azure, AWS)

✅ Strong database knowledge & experience with data migrations

✅ Exposure to LLMs & API integrations

✅ Proficiency in TypeScript

✅ Eagerness to learn, problem-solve, and take ownership of projects

Extra Points:

⭐ Background in - or passion for healthcare

⭐ Previous experience with Electronic Health Record (EHR) data

⭐ Implementation experience with the OAuth protocol

⭐ Comfort in CI/CD pipeline setup

⭐ Passion for startups, a self-starter attitude, and versatile skills

⭐ Knowledge of Node.js, NestJS, React.js, Azure, Zustand, Postgres, Docker, MediaSoup, Tailwind CSS

⭐ Experience in video conferencing, transcription, or CRM systems

⭐ Mobile app development expertise (including PWA)
