DevOps Engineer

Role Summary:

As a DevOps engineer, you will be one of the core engineers who will drive and lead the adoption of a DevOps culture; the principles, practices and demonstrating the value and efficiencies that it brings to software delivery.

Responsibilities:

• You will help to drive the automation and improvement of the delivery pipeline for the applications estate.
• You’ll also assist in the successful operation applications estate, and along with other team members, you will provide 2nd and 3rd line support. In collaboration with other project teams, you’ll drive forward any necessary changes to remove constraints from the continuous delivery process, ensuring DevOps practices embed and become part of the fabric for project delivery.
• Provide and ensure availability of automated delivery services including build, test and environments from development through to production - specifically, relating to automating .NET application builds, running automated tests, automated code analysis.
• Carry out the necessary technical tasks to support the planning, management, analysis, development, testing and implementation of software releases.
• Cary out incident management as well as trouble shooting of issues raised in application environments.
• Experience in environment management and refreshes.
• Be able to evidence and articulate the improvements that automation has over manual implementation of builds, tests, deployments.
• Re-engineer and improve existing configuration management processes where necessary.
• Compliance with security policies and procedures related to the information and information systems you use and the reporting of vulnerabilities or incidents affecting security or security policy compliance to the IS Security Manager or the Group Information Protection Manager.

· Setting up project pipelines

· IIS – Server maintenance, Issue troubleshooting
