About the role


Rentokil FInland has three service areas: Rentokil pest control, Initial hygiene services and Ambius plant design. Our headquarter is located in Vantaa, and is part of the Nordic and wider European region. In Finland, we employ a total of around 100 people.


The Human Resources Manager supports the Management of all Rentokil Initial Businesses

in the development of the business strategy. The role defines the management policy and deliverables for HR according to the framework of the Group human resources strategy.This position will be based at our head office in Vantaa, and reports to the HR Director of the Nordics (based in the UK) with a strong dotted line to the Managing Director in Finland. The role is hybrid, and we hope the new HR manager will enjoy spending three days a week in our Vantaa office.


The HR Manager will develop key relationships such as:

  • The RI Finland Leadership Team,
  • The Europe HR Leadership Team, including other Country HRDs
  • Central Group HR functions, Talent, L&D, Communications and Engagement, Reward, HRIS etc.,
  • Other functional areas within Rentokil Initial, including IT, Finance, Legal and Marketing & Innovation.


Main tasks

Its main objective areas are:

  • Talent Attraction and Recruitment
  • Driving retention of colleagues by ensuring Rentokil Initial in Finland is an employer of choice
  • Development of people.
  • M&A and supporting growth and margin action
  • Drive the Rentokil Initial culture by embedding our mission & values.


Its activities include:

  • Agree and lead the implementation of human resource strategies and objectives to support business objectives and ensure compliance with corporate governance.
  • Agree and execute strategic initiatives in conjunction with Europe HRD and Southern Europe MD.
  • Support M&A activity in Finland from due diligence to integration activity.
  • Support the country's performance both from a financial and people perspective by delivering people data and insight that allows good decisions to be made including: - synergies and cost savings - wage management - retention/ absence
  • Act as a coach to the local senior management team to drive effective people leadership through the business.
  • Ensure the effective implementation of the performance management system to ensure it cascades to all levels and delivers a high-performance culture.
  • Implement training and development programs to address individual, team and business needs as identified.
  • Implement reward and recognition programmes & systems to ensure competitiveness and delivery of the right behaviours and results.
  • Ensure strong operational execution and delivery especially around: - Attraction and Recruitment - Training, Learning and Development - Engagement and Enablement - Reward and Recognition - Talent Management - HR Policy - HRIS and People Data - Payroll - Communications.
  • Measure the effectiveness of HR strategies through HR KPIs.


Must have

  • 5+ years experience in a senior generalist human resources role, some ‘specialist’ HR knowledge such as Reward, M&A would be a distinct benefit
  • Experienced HR professional with strong knowledge of HR practices and principles, including labour law (individual and collective labour law), payroll issues, social security, benefits and employment regulations for the particular region
  • Experience of M&A including due diligence, integration, harmonisation and legal requirements Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build up quickly trusted relationship with Management members and employees
  • Experience in a Service B2B environment
  • Fluent in Finnish and EnglishGood knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, …)


Nice to have

  • Workers council experience would be an advantage
  • Other Nordics and / or European language
  • Postgraduate HR Qualifications
