About the Company:

The Company is a regulated Virtual Asset Service Provider (VASP) in Lithuania, offering a secure and compliant crypto payment gateway for businesses. As we expand, we are seeking an experienced Chief Compliance Officer (CCO) to lead the compliance strategy, ensuring full adherence to MiCAR (Markets in Crypto-Assets Regulation), AML/CFT requirements, and other applicable Lithuanian and EU financial regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Regulatory Compliance Oversight: Ensure full compliance with MiCAR, AMLD5/6, and Lithuanian VASP regulatory requirements, establishing a robust compliance framework for crypto payments.

• AML/CFT Leadership: Work closely with the MLRO to develop and oversee an effective Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Counter-Terrorist Financing (CFT) program, ensuring the implementation of KYC, CDD, EDD, and transaction monitoring processes.

• Regulatory Engagement: Act as the primary point of contact for Lithuanian regulatory authorities, including the Bank of Lithuania and the Financial Crime Investigation Service (FCIS), ensuring timely reporting and regulatory submissions.

• Risk & Governance: Develop and implement risk management policies and internal controls, ensuring that business operations align with compliance requirements.

• Licensing & Reporting: Oversee all licensing, reporting, and regulatory obligations for the company’s VASP license, ensuring all compliance requirements are met.

• Compliance Program Development: Design and maintain compliance policies, procedures, and internal governance frameworks to mitigate regulatory risks.

• Audit & Monitoring: Lead internal and external audits, ensuring the company is prepared for regulatory inspections and maintains strong compliance records.

• Training & Awareness: Establish compliance training programs for employees, ensuring awareness and adherence to MiCAR and AML regulations.

• Crypto Compliance Strategy: Develop compliance mechanisms for crypto payment processing, including blockchain analytics, transaction screening, and fraud prevention.

• Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with the CEO, Board of Directors, MLRO, and legal teams to ensure a proactive and risk-based compliance approach.

Key Qualifications & Experience:

• Proven experience as a CCO, Head of Compliance, or Senior Compliance Officer in a crypto, fintech, payment services, or financial institution.

• Strong knowledge of MiCAR, AMLD5/6, FATF guidelines, and Lithuanian AML regulations for Virtual Asset Service Providers (VASPs).

• Experience with KYC, CDD, EDD, and risk-based transaction monitoring systemsin a crypto or payments environment.

• Ability to engage with regulatory authorities and financial crime enforcement agencies.

• Experience with blockchain analytics tools (e.g., Chainalysis, Elliptic, TRM Labs) is a plus.

• Strong understanding of fraud prevention, financial crime compliance, and regulatory reporting requirements.

• Excellent leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

• Fluency in English and Lithuanian.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience in compliance for a licensed crypto exchange, payment gateway, or regulated financial institution.

• Familiarity with EU financial regulations beyond crypto (e.g., PSD2, GDPR).

• Professional compliance certification (e.g., CAMS, ICA, CRCM, or equivalent) is a plus.
