About the Role:

We are a team of talented independent game developers building the future of indie games. As a fully remote team, we develop a wide range of engaging and innovative games for players worldwide.

We are looking for an experienced Roblox Game Developer to lead the technical and design efforts for new and existing Roblox experiences. You should have deep expertise in Roblox Studio, Lua scripting, and game systems design. You should also have a strong understanding of player engagement mechanics, and optimization.

In this role, you'll be working closely with a team of game designers, artists, and developers to build immersive, high-quality gameplay experiences on the Roblox platform.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain high-quality Roblox experiences, focusing on gameplay, mechanics, and features.
• Write efficient, clean, and optimized Lua scripts to handle various game systems, including UI, AI, physics, and networking.
• Implement game mechanics, including character movement, combat, physics, and interactive systems.
• Work closely with designers to create fun, engaging, and balanced gameplay experiences.
• Optimize game performance for mobile, console, and PC players.
• Integrate monetization strategies, including game passes, dev products, and virtual economy systems.
• Debug, test, and optimize game code to ensure smooth performance and scalability.
• Collaborate with UI/UX designers to implement intuitive and engaging user interfaces.
• Work with testing and production team to iterate and improve the game based on player feedback and metrics.

Must-Have Skills & Qualifications:

• 2+ years of experience working as a Roblox Game Developer.
• Proficiency in Lua scripting and experience working with Roblox Studio.
• Strong understanding of Roblox APIs, including networking, physics, UI, and animation.
• Experience with pathfinding, AI behavior scripting, and procedural content generation.
• Strong game design sense, with an eye for engaging and immersive gameplay.
• Experience in optimizing game performance for mobile and low-end devices.
• Experience working in collaborative, fast-paced environments, especially remote teams.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to review and improve gameplay mechanics.

Nice-to-Haves:

• Experience with Blender or 3D modeling tools for creating game assets.
• Familiarity with third-party plugins and extensions for Roblox Studio.
• Prior experience working on large-scale multiplayer experiences.
