Project Description:

RTPose (for Real Time Position) is an application that provides real time trades and position to all MARK (equity) traders at GBIS. Due to its positioning in the trade lifecycle (just after market execution), RTPose is a key component for the whole trading activities (risk follow-up, market making ...). It’s a technical application with key performance targets in mind (processes millions of deals each day, latency of < 10 milliseconds for each deal, 24/5 availability, …). It’s deployed in the main financial places around the world (New York, Paris, Hong Kong).

RESPONSIBILITIES

💻 Specifically, you will be required to:

· Assist with the translation of business requirements into technical ones;

· Show technical expertise and handle development/testing tasks;

· Follow up functional testing with end users;

· Liaises with Infrastructure/middleware teams to ensure proper application configurations and hardware performance efficiencies;

· Employs industry standard best practices;

· Involved in the submission of solutions designs.

💡 PROFILE REQUIRED

· You have good understanding of Java SE (multithreading knowledge would be appreciated);

· Python, Shell scripting and Linux experience would be appreciated;

· Knowledge of middleware principles (RabbitMQ; gRPC nice to have);

· Knowledge of SQL or NoSQL database principles (e.g. PostgreSQL, Cassandra) would be appreciated;

· Knowledge of some core development tools used within the company: Kibana, Maven, Jenkins, Git, Sonar;

· Student or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent;

· Willingness to learn and desire to contribute to a real-life business project.
