Position Overview:
As a Network Administrator, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the organization's network infrastructure to ensure a high-performing, secure, and reliable network environment. You will oversee the management of critical networking services including switches, routers, firewalls, VPNs, and telephony systems, while ensuring network uptime and security are maintained at the highest standards. You will work closely with internal teams and vendors to troubleshoot and resolve network issues, perform system upgrades, and implement improvements. Additionally, you will monitor network performance, manage disaster recovery processes, and develop strategies to support the company's evolving network needs. This position requires strong technical expertise in network technologies and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment to support the organization's overall goals.

Position Overview:

Key Responsibilities:
- Defining, designing, implementing, testing, and maintaining high-quality network services, including network switches, routers, firewalls, telephony systems, VPNs, SD-WAN, network security, and other technology to ensure a highly available, reliable, and safe network infrastructure, using industry best practices.
- Establishing performance and quality standards for the network, and monitoring network services (internal and external) for optimal performance, service level agreements, and efficiency. Maintains a high level of network uptime. Develops strategies to assess, implement, and test improvements, including patch updates, and executes on those strategies.
- Overseeing dependable network operations, including backup solutions and disaster recovery, and maintaining up-to-date documentation.
- Conducting troubleshooting and analysis of network services, working with internal and external experts and business partners to recommend and implement improvements, perform cost analysis, and evaluate quotes and procure network-related services and equipment. Takes technical ownership of network initiatives.
- Ensuring network documentation and knowledge bases are kept up-to-date through continuous improvement methods as an effective tool for design, support, and troubleshooting.
- Working with vendors to determine best procedures for resolving network-related issues, and managing vendor relationships throughout the lifecycle of network equipment and services.
- Providing guidance on the design, implementation, and support of network systems to meet business, security, and service level requirements.
- University degree or college diploma in computer science or a related field.
- Five to seven years of experience in network administration and support, with experience in routing, switching, firewalls, network security, and troubleshooting network hardware and services.
- Experience with cloud networking services (Azure, AWS, SD-WAN, VPNs, etc.) and networking in hybrid cloud environments.
- Desired certifications: Cisco (CCNA/CCNP), MS Azure, ITIL Foundations, or equivalent work experience.
- Expert-level knowledge of networking protocols such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VPN technologies.
- Hands-on experience with telephony systems (PBX, SIP, PRI, VOIP, ACD, UCaaS), unified messaging technologies, and network-based voice systems is a plus.
- Strong troubleshooting skills in network infrastructure, including firewalls, switches, routers, and wireless network systems.
- Ability to manage multiple network initiatives in a dynamic and evolving environment.
