Role: Agile Coach

Location: Dallas Tx Onsite

Job Description

1. PRIORITY 1: Heavy Focus on Improving the Foundation, Results Driven

a. Assess and Improve the Agile Adoption of 10+ Agile Teams

b. Begin with Fundamentals

i. Definition of Ready and of Done inconsistently used

1. Complaints that stories don’t have enough information

2. Unclear end to stories

ii. Scrum Master Role not clearly defined

1. Scrum Masters feel under utilized

2. Product Owners unclear of Scrum Master value

iii. Stories created in Sprint Planning

1. Incomplete stories

2. Not enough time to evaluate

3. Difficulty with capacity and roadmap planning

iv. Feature, Epic, Story quality is low and inconsistent

c. Create an automated way (dashboards) to assess adoption

d. Create a date driven roadmap with clear milestones for improvement targets

e. Establish an on-going assessment process to measure improvement

2. PRIORITY 2: Consistency Across Teams

a. Create plans and executes them for key Scrum/JIRA items

b. Example Items:

i. Roll out consistent use of JIRA project, theme, epic, story, etc.

ii. Introduce labels that allow consistent tracking of work for business stakeholders

iii. Implement burn-down charts

iv. Formalize process for inter-product/team dependencies

v. Work with Product Managers on continuous improvement of the SoS meeting tasks

3. PRIORITY 3: Help Scrum Masters become Agents of Change

4. PRIORITY 4: Identify training opportunities, lead training, or organize training
