POSITION: PR SENIOR ACCOUNT MANAGER

IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL:

 

Engage and interact with clients daily. Serve as the day-to-day client contact managing project timelines, team inputs, and budgets as required. Can include multiple client relationships.

Plan and execute client activities in a timely, efficient, and high-quality manner with minimal direction from supervisors. Lead and direct others as necessary.

Excellent knowledge of monitoring and research tools, and ability to critically analyze findings and provide recommendations to clients.

Understanding of how to brief tasks and provide feedback/support to the junior team, managing workflow to ensure that tasks are completed in a timely fashion and delivered to a high standard. Where necessary, pitch in to complete tasks.

Conduct and oversee in-depth research on topics of importance to clients to create insightful POVs and recommendations based on client needs.

Support and lead narrative development, and messaging and media training workshops, including strong presentation and group management skills.

Generate creative ideas to use in PR programs to meet client objectives.

Oversight of press materials, reports and strategy plans and other client content deliverables, ensuring this is delivered to a high standard, including editing.

Assist in the development and execution of crisis-communication strategies.

Run client meetings and follow up on action points across departments as required.

Line management responsibilities for team members.

Ability to provide feedback and mentoring support to junior team members.

Assist on new business proposals and manage junior team input.

Liaise with clients and ensure satisfaction with the company’s services.

Provide client team support, attend internal meetings to gain understanding of key issues, and seek feedback from others on a regular basis.

Attend and participate in networking events, out-of-hours if required, monthly.

Support with out-of-hours requests as required.

Ability to implement client brand guidelines and amend content to reflect the client’s preferred style.

Ensure the company remains abreast of news related to client interests.

Maintain and develop contacts with journalists and key stakeholders.

Actively seek networking opportunities.

Oversee clients’ events and junior team roles and responsibilities.

 

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

 

o  Leadership of the account team, with potential for a mentoring role with juniors.

Client-facing role.

Responsible for managing and supporting junior team and briefing/tracking tasks as required.

Should be comfortable providing recommendations directly to clients and overseeing projects.

Should be confident interpreting client requests and responding accordingly, or where necessary escalating up.

Should be comfortable running client meetings and following up on tasks in the absence of more senior team members.

Willingness to input new business proposals.

Strong team player who naturally possesses selfless, amicable, and supportive personal characteristics. Willingness to pitch in to support colleagues with meeting client needs as required.

o  Exceptional client management skills, including conflict resolution.

o  Good knowledge of sector composition, trends, and current affairs. Strong understanding of how to use this to inform advice to clients.

o  Excellent understanding of sentence structure, grammar, referencing, tone, and appropriate writing style. Excellent knowledge of the requirements for different types of content development (e.g., best practices for tweets, press releases, etc.).

Willingness to develop my own skills and proactively seek opportunities for self-improvement through learning and development. Willingness to share this knowledge with colleagues at all levels.
