Network Engineer

A rapidly growing systematic trading firm is looking for their first Network Engineer hire in London and Referment have partnered with them to assist with the search. The role will report directly to the CTO and the successful applicant will be responsible for the design, implementation and support of their low latency network estate which underpins their trading systems and infrastructure.

This role would suit an experienced Network Engineer who has worked on low latency networks for a hedge fund, prop trading firm, exchange or financial markets company.

To be considered for this role, the successful applicant should have a deep understanding of routing protocols, switches, scripting and exchange connectivity. You will work directly with developers and quant researchers to design and configure the network infrastructure that keeps their systematic trading business running.

Key Responsibilities

• Delivering colocation sites with fast connections to exchanges.
• Optimizing the network receive path for Linux trading hosts.
• Delivering robust and reliable cloud setups for quantitative research
