WORDPRESS DEVELOPER

Svitla Systems Inc. is looking for a Middle WordPress Developer for a full-time position (40 hours per week) in Argentina. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in WordPress website development, front-end design, and product ownership. This individual will build, maintain, and optimize websites, focusing on creating reactive, mobile-first designs that offer excellent user experiences. Additionally, this person will be crucial in testing, debugging, and improving website performance, focusing on SEO technical optimization and ensuring fast load times.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience as a Front End Developer, Web Developer, or similar role focusing on WordPress.
• Hands-on experience using WordPress page builders like Divi, Beaver, Elementor, or similar.
• Knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery and PHP.
• Understanding of responsive web design principles and mobile-first development.
• Portfolio showcasing responsive WordPress websites.
• Experience with website performance optimization (speed, load time, SEO).
• Familiarity with website analytics tools (Google Analytics, Search Console, etc.).
• Knowledge of SEO best practices, website performance optimization, and website accessibility standards.
• Familiarity with Git for version control.
• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
• Good communication and collaboration skills.
• Fluent English.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
• Strong attention to detail and a passion for delivering high-quality user experience

Responsibilities

Website Development & Maintenance:

• Build, customize, and maintain WordPress websites from start to finish, ensuring they meet business and technical requirements.
• Collaborate with designers, back-end developers, and other team members to ensure seamless front-end and back-end functionality integration.
• Update and enhance existing websites to meet evolving business needs and technical standards.
  
  

Responsive & Mobile-First Design

• Implement and optimize responsive, mobile-first designs that work seamlessly across all devices and screen sizes.
• Ensure cross-browser compatibility and a smooth user experience across all major browsers (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, etc.).
  
  

Performance Optimization

• Test, troubleshoot, and optimize website performance, focusing on speed and SEO.
• Optimize images, scripts, and other assets to ensure fast load times without sacrificing quality.
• Work with the team to implement best practices for technical SEO, including proper URL structure, meta tags, schema markup, and internal linking.
  
  

Quality Assurance & Testing

• Conduct rigorous testing of websites.
• Work closely with QA teams to identify and fix bugs or issues before launch.
  
  

SEO & Analytics

• Implement on-page SEO best practices, including optimizing content, metadata, and images.
• Set up and monitor website analytics (Google Analytics, Search Console, etc.) to track performance and user behavior and identify areas for improvement.
• Use SEO tools and insights to identify technical optimizations.
  
  

Collaboration & Communication

• Work closely with internal teams, stakeholders, and external partners to deliver projects on time and within scope.
