What is this role about?

You'll be joining a cross-functional team focused on developing and enhancing Bondora's Add-On products. These products aim to provide value-added services to our customers, improving their experience and setting Bondora apart from competitors. The Add-On product line is a key revenue stream for the company, and you'll be instrumental in driving its growth and evolution. You'll collaborate with a team of engineers, designers, and product managers to build new features, improve existing ones, and ensure the long-term success of these products.

Key responsibilities in this role:

  • Development of software, including databases, business services, user interface, automation, internal tools, and integration with 3rd party software.
  • Enhance business growth by improving tools, infrastructure, and technology to align with company goals.
  • Participate in cross-functional team activities, including ideation, road mapping, and continuous improvement, contributing technical expertise and innovative solutions.
  • Plan and design technical solutions, create documentation, provide estimations, and optimize development processes.
  • Ensure system stability and performance by supporting test and production environments, troubleshooting issues, and maintaining reliability.
  • Collaborate and share knowledge by mentoring teammates, advising other teams, and fostering a culture of continuous learning.


This is a hybrid role that requires the candidate to be located in Estonia. Do note that we're not able to offer relocation or remote work for this position.

Your mission includes working on:

  • Distributed systems
  • Messaging architecture
  • Microservices
  • Azure Cloud and Kubernetes
  • REST API-s
  • Monolith


What would ensure success in this role?

  • Have prior experience in strongly typed languages such as C#, Java, TypeScript, or similar. Preferably in C#, .NET, .NET Core, Docker, or ASP.NET.
  • Have experience with FE, preferably with React.
  • Have full-stack experience.
  • Someone who excels in problem-solving, is adaptable and is willing to work on improving legacy systems and creating new services.
  • An engineer who wants to be involved in the entire lifecycle of the product and is excited about working on products (we are a heavy product organization).
  • Responsible and willing to take ownership.
  • Proactive and forward-looking.
  • Excellent in communicating in English, both verbally and written.
  • Have previous experience in fintech/loan business systems developments (this will be considered as an advantage).
